HUNTERMARK EQUITATION CLASSIC NO ENTRY FEE

Riders qualify for this class based on equitation points earned over fences during the current show season (December-April). The flat phase will be done without stirrups and riders will be scored on their flat and jumping performance, turnout, and their answers to three horse-related questions. The flat phase will be done without stirrups. Riders may choose not to remove their stirrups in the flat phase, but the cost is 20 points out of an overall 100 possible points. Jumping Phase = 30%, Flat Phase = 30%, Turnout Phase = 25%, and Question Phase = 15%. Fence height in the jumping phase will vary based on the highest the rider has shown in equitation over fences classes at a Huntermark show this season. No martingales in flat phase. Unlike most Medal classes, riders MAY use different horses on the flat and over fences, and horses may be ridden by more than one rider.
Riders can qualify by placing in the top 7 in an equitation over fences class. The last chance to qualify will be Saturday of the Finals show. The finals show has a slightly modified schedule with all of the equitation over fences classes running on Saturday, to qualify for the Finals on Sunday. There is NO COST to participate in this class and the top 8 riders win a beautiful sash for their horse. Braiding and show clothes are recommended since they are part of the score for the turnout phase. Wash racks are available to all exhibitors.
