There are no stakes classes
All points are DOUBLED
jump crew is volunteer

Additional rounds of the same rider will not be judged. The course will be an equitation course at the same height, in the same ring, over the same jumps, incorporating similar turns and elements as the finals, but is not the exact same as the actual course for the finals. HUNTERMARK EQUITATION CLASSIC FINALS CLASS ENTRY FEE: FREE
Riders who have placed in at least one equitation over fences class at Huntermark during the current show season qualify for this class. Jumping Phase = 30%, Flat Phase = 30% (20 point penalty if stirrups are used), Turnout Phase = 25%, and Question Phase = 15%. Fence height in the jumping phase will vary based on the highest the rider has shown in equitation over fences classes at a Huntermark show this year. Riders whose highest equitation class was held in Ring 1 will do their jumping phase in Ring 1. Riders whose highest equitation class was held in Ring 2 will do their jumping phase in Ring 2. No martingales in flat phase. Unlike most Medal classes, riders MAY use different horses on the flat and over fences, and horses may be ridden by more than one rider. Every class offered herein, which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current MIHJA Rule Book, will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.
STABLING - Stabling is one of two locations: The South Barn, which has permanent 10' x 12' box stalls with full doors, all but two of which have rubber stall mats for your horse's comfort. The other is the Packer Barn, which has permanent 10' x 10' box stalls with 4' doors. The Packer Barn is closer to the show and schooling rings, and is an open-air barn for better circulation during summer shows. Upon arriving, trailers should pull into the first entrance to unload at the Packer Barn, and the second entrance to unload at the South Barn. When you're finished unloading, trailer parking is available from the first driveway, by the Packer barn. Please call in advance for stalls (309) 799-3203 - barn, (309) 737-3195 - Jan, or (309) 738-7767 - Rachel, or e-mail shows@HuntermarkFarm.com so we can have your stalls ready for you. There will be no charge for cancelled stall reservations. Stalls are $25 regardless of how long you're there (Thursday-Sunday).
NON-SHOWING HORSE - A horse that is brought to the show grounds, but does not compete in any classes must pay a $25 non-showing horse fee in addition to the stall fee (if applicable) for their use of the jumps, footing, and facility.
SHOW ATTITRE - Show attire is required for all classes except Lead Line Equitation, Trotting Pole Hunter, Real Low Hunter and Warm-Up. Show attire for jumper riders is: boots, breeches, helmet, and a collared shirt. Hunter and equitation riders must have ractcatcher (show shirt) and hunt coat. Equitation riders should have gloves.
ENTRY / CROSS ENTRY - Exhibitors are responsible for a knowledge of the Rules and Regulations governing the horse show and for their own errors and omissions. If you are unfamiliar with MIHJA rules, please check with Rachel Rock Robinson or our steward Sandee Cochran regarding the specific rules governing the show and/or specific divisions prior to competing.
ADDS / SCRATCHES - Adds and scratches can be done at any time. No transaction fee will be assessed. Full refunds are given for scratched classes.
JUMP ORDER - Check in at the gate for a self-posted order. Anyone not checked in will be posted at the end of the order. Notify the gate if there are any riders on multiple horses, tack changes, or conflicts.
CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION - To be awarded in hunter and jumper divisions only, to two of the four horses scoring the most points over fences, based on their total points including the under saddle class(s).
STAKES CLASSES - The second over fences class in each hunter division from cross rails on. In order to be eligible for prize money, you must compete in the entire division. For every entry in the class, $5 is added to the pot, which is split among the winners as follows: 1st-29%, 2nd-24%, 3rd-19%, 4th-14%, 5th-9%, 6th-5%.
NUMBER DEPOSIT - Each number will carry a $2 deposit. Please keep the number in good condition and return it at the end of the show for a full refund. Or, if that number worked well for you and you would like to use it each time you show at Huntermark, feel free to keep it. You will only be charged the $2 fee once. Upon return visits, please write your number on your entry blank before submitting it to the show secretary.
OFFICE FEE - A $5 office fee will be charged for every rider. Anyone can avoid this fee by submitting a blank check made out to Huntermark Farm by 8:00 pm Friday, the night before the show. If the check is filled out, or if you pre-pay with an exact amount of cash, and the final amount of your bill is more than what you've given, and you don't pay the balance before you leave on Sunday, you will be charged the office fee.
FACILITY FEE - A $15 facility fee has made it possible for us to hire a full jump crew which speeds up course changes considerably and helps the show run more smoothly for everyone. We hope that everyone will enjoy this increased efficiency.
SCHOOLING - Both outdoor show arenas will be available before and after the show for unlimited schooling. The indoor arena (60' x 240', sand) will be available at all times for unlimited schooling. Ring 1 (180' x 300', sand) and Ring 2 (100' x 200', sand) will be available for schooling before and after the show. The sand does not get slippery when wet, regardless of how much rain we've had.
FEED AND BEDDING - Additional shavings are available by the bag (prices vary). Hay is available for $4.50/bale.
PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR - In accordance with USEF rules, all exhibitors are required to wear properly fitting protective headgear passing or surpassing current applicable ASTM / SEI standards with harness secured while riding anywhere on competition grounds.
TACK SHOP / CONCESSION STAND - Huntermark Tack Service is located just beyond the club room in the main barn. If you'd like to make a purchase before or after the show, just let Rachel or Jan know. The Huntermark Café will be selling concessions during the show both days. The menu includes Taco in a Bag, sandwiches, pizza, and more.
SPECIAL REQUESTS - Please let us know if there's anything that can make your show experience better or easier. We are very flexible as far as moving classes around or making any exception we can to accommodate you, as long as we stay within the MIHJA rules.
ADDITIONAL DIVISIONS - If there's a class or division you wish we held, please let us know. Although it is a long schedule, the classes are not large and daylight is not an issue. We are more than happy to add any class you like. Maybe you wish there were 2 Evergreen over fences classes on Sunday instead of just one. None of the points from any of the extra classes will be recorded by MIHJA.
HUNTERMARK SUMMER EQUITATION SERIES - The points earned in every equitation class offered in Ring 1 and Ring 2 (classes 101-121) will be tracked throughout the summer series. The rider with the most equitation points at the end of the season will have their name engraved on a traveling trophy and will be awarded a $200 scholarship for next year's Winter Series. Ribbons will be awarded to the top ten high point riders. This award was created as a memorial to a former student who died from cancer. This trophy is entitled the Stephanie VanDeWoestyne Memorial High Point Equitation Rider Award. The points will be awarded as follows: 1st-10, 2nd-6, 3rd-4, 4th-2, 5th-1, 6th-˝ regardless of the number of exhibitors.
HUNTERMARK SUMMER JUMPER SERIES - The points earned in each of the jumper classes (classes 224-251 and 253) will be tracked throughout the summer series (MIHJA and HFEC). The rider with the most jumper points at the end of the season will have their name engraved on a traveling trophy and will be awarded a keepsake trophy.
